what's where

So i was at CVS w/ a friend, and i (being the makeup addict that i am) was looking at palettes/ quads.

then my friend mentioned to me that she had no idea where to put all the colors on, and so i showed her the back of the quad i was looking. (they have a diagram there)

but still she insisted that she didn't get it. this is what inspired my post today.

the basics are these: lid, crease, brow bone, lash line, waterline, outercorner, inner corner, tearduct.

that is roughly where they are placed. (please excuse my incompetence on utilizing the brush tool)

this is an edit, so i have redone my painting skills.......but i have makeup on. sorry about that.

you will also see that my makeup extends past my lid. that is because i like to do so to elongate my eyes. this makes my eyes seem larger, and also have more a a feline tilt to it.

next is the crease

*ahem* i know it looks gross (kinda?)

but a trick to finding your crease is to take a small brush (fluffy one is best) and locate the top of your eyeball when you close your eyes.

when you have found the place, see if you can create a windshield wiper kind of motion w/ the brush. if you can do that easily, them that is the location of your crease.

last is waterline and lashline.

lashline is right on your lashes, and water line is more towards your actual eye (if that makes sense)

also, be careful of what you put on your waterline, because some eyeliners are NOT recommended for the water line. if you are unsure if a product is safe or not for the waterline, i would look it up, or contact the maker. better to be SAFE than sorry.

i hope this helps!
