look what i figured out!
"to make your own vegetable stock save all skins, trimmings, seeds or whatever else you would normally toss out from your vegetables (well washed of course), toss in a pot of water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, strain and use as stock or freeze for later use. If you don't have enough stuff from a meal to make a stock, toss the trimmings in a container and freeze until you collect enough and make a pot of stock. Its a great way to get the most for your hard earned money and also many of the vitamins and minerals are in the trimmings so why just toss them in the trash."
i think im gonna try it! tho i don't really use veg. stock often.....whatever :)
